Winter is fast approaching and the colder weather can really take a toll on your vehicle...especially the battery. We found this out the hard way last year after we moved from South Florida to North Florida. We went from 50 degree winters, to 19 degree winters...yes it gets down right cold in N. FLA! Anyway, our battery didn't take to kindly to the drastic temperature change and became very unreliable. Luckily my husband purchased an Instant Power Jump Starter before we ever had any problems with our battery...just in case.

Well it certainly came in handy. I actually had to use it quite a few times before we were able to budget for a new car battery. Now let me tell you, I AM NOT mechanically inclined at all, and the thought of even lifting the hood of my vehicle frightens me, let alone playing with electricity! Needless to say, I was scared to use this thing, but after my husband explained how to use it...which is really the most simple process in the world...I was doing it like a pro in no time!

This is an especially great product for women because you can do it yourself...you don't need to ask a stranger for assistance like you do with jumper cables. Now I don't wish a dead or dying battery on anyone, but the fact of the matter is they don't last forever, and extreme temperature fluctuations do take their toll over time so you never can be quite sure when your battery's time will come.

The last thing you want to do is jump in your car on a freezing cold winter morning when you're already running 10 minutes behind only to find that your battery is acting up and you DON'T have this incredible little TIME and MONEY saver. Believe me, I didn't think we would ever need ours until we did! It's definitely a matter of "It's better to be safe than sorry."
